Trenchers
Hire trenchers by the day, the week or the month, from suppliers who actually cover your site. Your payment is held until the machine is back with the supplier, so both sides are covered.

: Trenchers
Three things decide which trenchers you need: the reach or capacity the work demands, the ground it has to stand on, and how it gets onto site in the first place. Access is the one people forget.
The main classes here are chain trencher, ride on trencher, rock wheel trencher, vibratory plow, walk behind trencher. Work out which class you are in first, then compare suppliers inside it - comparing across classes on price alone is how the wrong machine ends up on site.
Fuel, consumables and attachments are usually extra. Confirm what comes with the machine so the first day is not spent chasing a part.
Most of this class can be run without a formal ticket, but read the machine notes: site rules and insurers often ask for more than the law does.
