How delivery works
Each supplier sets their own delivery charge and radius, so the price you see is theirs, not an average. It is charged both ways, because that is what a float actually costs to run.
Getting the window
Once your booking is confirmed the supplier sends a delivery window. Most deliveries run early so the machine is on site before the crew starts.
What the site needs
- Somewhere the float can stop legally and safely, with room to unload.
- Ground that will take the machine and the truck, particularly after rain.
- Someone on site to receive it, check it over and sign.
- Gate codes, height restrictions and access notes given at booking, not on the day.
Collecting it yourself
Smaller machines can be picked up from the yard at no charge. You will need suitable transport and tie-downs; the listing shows the transport weight so you can check your trailer rating before you set off.
Off-hire
Tell the supplier when you are finished and they arrange collection. The hire is charged to the off-hire date, so calling it in on the day it finishes matters.
