Before you hire
- Read the review history, not just the star average.
- Check for verification badges: ID, insurance, licence, background check.
- Ask your questions in the task thread so there is a record.
- Be sceptical of anyone who wants to move off the platform.
Payments
Payment is held from the moment you accept an offer and released when the work is done. Paying outside the platform removes that protection, removes your review rights and removes our ability to help.
In the home
- Agree access arrangements in writing before the day.
- Secure valuables and pets.
- Be present for the first visit where you reasonably can.
Licensed work
Electrical, gas, structural and some plumbing work must be done by a licensed professional. Ask for the licence number and check it with your local regulator.
Reporting
Report a member, a task or a message from the report link on the page, or contact support. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
